Google partnering with credit card companies

Taking into account the fact that such companies as RIM and Google start their way to the near-field communication more common in the mobile sphere, the tech is not that widespread at this point. In accordance with a report from The Wall Street Journal, there is some evidence that the company will change that very soon. Some people familiar with the matter have mentioned that Google is teaming up with MasterCard and Citigroup to create a system for Android users in order to make payments with their mobile devices with an embedded NFC chip. As far as we know, the system is going to work only with the Nexus S primarily, despite the fact that it will finally become available in a couple of future Android devices. If the sources to be believed, Verifone will provide the mobile payment terminals to businesses, and when you wave your NFC-enabled phone at the terminal, the payment would take place.
