The HTC Incredible S was unveiled at MWC 2011 alongside with four other HTC handsetsthe HTC Desire S, the Wildfire S, the Chacha and the Salsa. It was first intended to be launched in Europe, but Canadian Bell decided not to miss its chance to get the phone with all those features it comes with. We already know it will be available on stores starting April 4, now the deal details are surfaced, so lets see whether it is worth buying.
The HTC Incredible S will be released for $99.95 with a three-year contract, but if you want to purchase the unlocked version, youll have to pay $499.95 for it. The handset is more expensive in comparison with other Android devices that are currently on the carriers line up (the Motorola Atrix and HTC Desire Z).
More, the Incredible S is the only smartphone from the above mentioned ones that doesnt run Android 2.3, but, as it has been announced, it will be updated to Gingerbread before the end of this year.
The HTC Incredible S is known as the HTC Droid Incredible 2 that will be launched in the U.S. via Verizon. But lets not focus on the U.S. version now because there are other attractive offers in Europe to discuss. The red HTC Incredible S that will be launched in Denmark soon is a good example.
The HTC Incredible S will be launched in Canada via Virgin Mobile Canada, though the retailer will require the same price as Bell. Well, a few days are left until April 4, and I think the Canadian users will be glad to get this smartphone.
