Authorization - Sell old iPad & Buy iPad 2

I registered my iPad last year. I want to sell the old iPad and buy the iPad 2nd generation. I will give the buyer my original receiptand it has no personal info on the device. Do I need to deregister it, so the buyer can register it and have it under his own name?You do not de-authorize an iPad, iPhone, or iPod. The Authorization only applies to a computer.
