How to delete Game Center from iPad?

My iPad had got the software upgrade to version 4.2.1 and I noted that an icon called "Game Center" appeared on my Home screen. I'm not interested in it at all, so I hold my finger to the app. But the circle with the X didn't appear. How can I delete or remove "Game Center". You can not remove it. There is no solution for deleting the icon. Because it is an Apple default built in app with iOS
