The White Stripes aren�t the only band calling it quits. LCD Soundsystem announced it will retire after a show April 2 at New York�s Madison Square Garden.
�For just one more night, we will be playing with friends and family for nearly 3 hours �playing stuff we�ve never played before and going out with a bang,� said a statement from the band.
Just before the group released its third album, �This Is Happening,� in May, frontman James Murphy told NME that the set would be the last under the LCD moniker. �When I�m working on [a record],� he said, �it makes sense to think of it as the last you�ll ever do because then you make it good.�
