Blue Airplay and music not working on iPad

When I play music from my iPad with Airplay to an Airport Express, Airplay icon turns blue and music stops playing on the iPad. but both photos and YouTube work fine.Then I go to Setting and signing out of the iTunes store, Airplay seems to work on my iPad.
