What Dell and HP Has to Say About Apple

Its quite hard for rival electronics giants to admit failure. Moreover, whats more painful is to see top shots totally towering over you on some highly successful product such as an iPad 2. Yes, you are right. Its Dell and HP trying to do their part in bringing Apples hot-selling iPad 2 down to their low-level ranking. According to our source, some executives from Dell and HP released harsh criticisms about the iPad calling it not feasible and impractical. Andy Lark, Global Marketing Head from Dell, was quoted saying, Apple is great if youve got a lot of money and live on an island. Its not so great if you have to exist in a diverse, open, connected enterprise; simple things become quite complex. An iPad with a keyboard, a mouse and a case [means] youll be at $1,500 or $1,600; thats double of what youre paying. Thats not feasible. On the other hand, HPs very own Senior Vice-President for Americas Solution Partners criticized Apples ways as very transactional and rather harsh and unfriendly to its customers. But we guess that Apple isnt moved at all by the harsh criticisms. After all, Apple is Apple.
