iPad Sleep/Wake button not working

The Sleep/Wake button is not working after I upgraded my iPad 3G to the iOS 4.2. It happens nothing when my iPad is on and I press the Sleep/Wake button. I can't put it to sleep by pressing Sleep/Wake button, and can't shut it down by pressing & holding the button until the red slider appears. Then I find out that the button is faulty.
