How to use virtual keyboard while physical KB is connected

When my iPad is connected with the physical keyboard, how can I bring up the virtual keyboard?The virtual keyboard is disabled when you have connected with the physical keyboard. If you want to switch back to the virtual KB, you have to switch off the BT in Settings or push the eject button.
